Security Industry Benefit Concert Raises Over $11,000 to Help Victims of Hurricane Helene

Miami, FL – November 13, 2024— Mission 500, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of children and families in crisis in the United States, joined forces with Axis Communications for an uplifting evening of music to raise funds for hurricane relief in Nashville on October 17, 2024. With the generosity of event attendees and a matching contribution from Axis, the event raised over $11,000 to support families impacted by Hurricane Helene, with proceeds to be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Eastern Tennessee.

“It’s inspiring to see what’s possible when community-focused organizations and their partners come together to make a difference,” said Janet Fenner from Mission 500. “Thanks to the generosity of those who donated, and support from partners, musicians, and the local venue, we’re able to help bring critical aid to families and children in Tennessee who need our support now more than ever.”

The concert, which took place at Cannery Hall in Nashville, featured local bands Absolute Silence, Campanula, Overlook, and The Band Light alongside a special guitar performance by Axis’ Vice President of the Americas, Fredrik Nilsson. With the support of Axis partners, attendees contributed more than $5,500, which Axis matched dollar for dollar, resulting in a substantial donation to aid families affected by the recent hurricane.

“At Axis, we believe that corporate gatherings are an opportunity to contribute to our local communities and offer a platform for philanthropy,” said Nikki Nemarich, Director of Marketing, Americas, Axis Communications. “Partnering with Mission 500 allowed us to help in a meaningful way, transforming a night of celebration into a way to support the community. When organizations and individuals work together—even in small ways—we can create significant positive change.”

The funds raised will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Eastern Tennessee, which will provide essential resources to families in the region rebuilding after Hurricane Helene.
